Some Questions That Day 1 of the 2011 Open Championship Will Answer

Alright, we are just a few hours away before the golfers tee off at the Royal St. George’s Golf Course, to kick-start the 2011 edition of the Open Championship!
But before that, let’s take some time out, and have a look at the questions that are being thrown at this prestigious tourney.
Every year, there is a lot of speculation over the reigning champions and their competitors, and when fans are aware that there are new upstarts in town, looking to upstage the established players, the tension and excitement rises tenfold.
And when tension and excitement rise, so does the demand for the Open Championship live stream

That brings us to Rory McIlroy, the new gunslinger in town, who’s looking to bring down the reigning king, but unfortunately for Rory, the king Tiger Woods is injured. But there are plenty of big fish in the sea, whose reputations will be worth the efforts of the 22-year-old to feed upon.

That keen observation begs the obvious question – will Rory McIlroy be able to handle the pressure of being tagged as the favorite?
The Manchester United supporter has been the target of many speculations ever since his spectacular meltdown at the Augusta Masters, and the subsequent triumph at US Open, but this time he is the clear favorite, so will he be able to handle that?

That question will be answered pretty soon with the British Open live stream up for grabs! The second question concerns the perennial underachiever, and probably the best number one golfer to have never won a Major title, Luke Donald. The task for Luke is fairly simple, win the British Open, and justify his numero uno ranking.

The next question is about Luke Donald’s fellow underachiever, Lee Westwood, and it’s the same damn thing, will Lee be able to win a goddamned Major?
If these two gentlemen open up the play nicely, you ought to watch British Open online, for there might not be a next time for these two.

A Tale Of The Underdogs And The Under-Achievers At The British Open!

The concept of an underdog has become a social cliché nowadays, and for a term that was coined on sports field to console the eventual losers, now it has widespread implications in almost all walks of life.
Whenever this word is used to describe any individual, viewers know that odds are that he or she is going to lose the match, but there is the unforeseen element of joy for everyone to savor when an underdog wins the event.

One case was Rory McIlroy at the US Open at the Congressional Golf Club; there have been countless cases, such as a young Tiger Woods winning the British Open.
Hence, it is now time for another unheralded prospect to shine at the St. George’s Club, and it is ok to include Rory McIlroy in the underdog section, because there are players like Phil Mickelson, Luke Donald, and Sergio Garcia, in the favored section.
But the 22-yearold Northern Irishman also happens to be the red hot prospect at the 140th edition of the prestigious Open Championship, which would make its way into your homes through the Open Championship live stream.
So perhaps, we need to find a more suitable underdog, a golfer like Ben Curtis, who won the Major in 2003. Yeah, the proverbial dark horse, and this year, it could be the American golfer, Rickie Fowler!
And how about the 71 ranked Camilo Villegas; he seems a talented player.
Redemption for thrill seekers, who dare to access the British Open live stream, may lie in the hands of the unproven, and we might be in for some shocks and surprises this time.

Now, about the underachievers! Well, the names of Luke Donald and Lee Westwood come at the top, while Phil Mickelson qualifies on the back, with his consistently poor showings at the British Open.
These are a few players that everyone would like to see posing with the Claret Jug, and the idea of them winning here, is probably what gets people to watch British Open online!

Why So Hyped? Jack Nicklaus Questions The Media Hype Over Rory McIlroy!

It is often said of arrogant snots, that the higher you go, the deeper you shall fall, and bigger the number of broken bones that you’ll end up with. I may have made up the last bit myself, but I find it pretty appropriate to describe the kind of media hype that Rory McIlroy is generating.

Rory McIlroy, the man of the hour from Northern Ireland, who will go on to become the next Tiger Woods for some, and for some, he’s going to become the next Jack Nicklaus.
People, don’t be misguided by such callous predictions, for the Open Championship isn’t a stroll in the park and the Open Championship live stream will be a case in point.

Seriously, either the people uttering such predictions have suddenly gained the power to foresee future, or, I am plain stupid and unable to recognize their powers.
Surely, Rory is probably the most talented young golfers at the moment, but right now, he is 13 Grand Slam major titles away from eclipsing Tiger’s record, and 17 from Jack’s.

Rory first has to win the British Open Championship, and maybe then, he can qualify to be called as the best golfer around. And then, some 10-15 Grand Slam trophies more, and we might be able to refer to him as the next Jack Nicklaus.

What the dynamic golfer does next, would be up for all to see when the British Open live stream comes up.

Since everybody’s making a fuss over the favorites for the Open Championship, let’s have a look at a list of favorites. The first name that would come to anybody’s mind would be Lee Westwood, and the second would be of Luke Donald. After a nearly disastrous showing at the US Open, the two of them will be itching to get back on the course, and open with the panache and tenacity that we’ve come to associate with them.
Knowing that these two Brits are getting it on at the British Open, the idea to watch British Open online doesn’t sound that bad.

St. George’s Golf Club invites you to the 2011 British Open!

The Open Championship, the British Open, The Open, call it whatever catches your fancy, it simply doesn’t matter! Because it is a Grand freaking Slam tournament in the PGA Tour and once again, it is coming your way.

That’s right; the British Open is slated to be held from the 14th of July to the 17th, a total of four glorious days of golfing action at the sublime Royal St. George’s Golf Club, which, as most of you know, is in a peculiar place named Sandwich.
And, for a Grand Slam tournament being held a city with a perverted touch to its name, the Open Championship is a name that’s catchier, isn’t it? Well, the glamour associated with this tourney is probably greater than the lurid tales of Tiger Woods’ exploits in the bedroom.

Every year, the golfing fans and the experts (well, these so-called experts are nothing but golfing fans with a refined accent, that’s all!) build up the excitement in the days leading up to the Open Championship to an extent that the demand for the Open Championship live stream shoots up exponentially.

This year’s hot favorite is probably one of the best emerging talents to ever emerge, excuse the pun, Rory McIlroy! A man, whose journey began with the infamous meltdown at the Augusta Masters, finally had his moment under the sun with the memorable triumph at the US Open. Now, the pinnacle awaits this young Irishman at the British Open.
An Irishman at the British Open! No wonder then that the Brits aren’t too thrilled, but the rest of golfing world is taking to the British Open live stream like a storm, a virtual deluge.

For now, let’s assume young Rory to be the favorite to win this prestigious tourney because that lad is heading into this competition with some serious momentum to back up his plans.
Talking about the not too impressed Brits, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood, one of these two men might just win their first ever Grand Slam and justify their number one and two rankings. Now that is something worth the effort to watch British Open online.
